There is nothing more rewarding than gaining independence in your art career, and as any artist knows, that can require creating new sources of revenue as the often fickle art market changes. The internet has presented an entirely new venue to consider and one of the biggest booming internet industries are online video driven classes. According to Udemy (one of a number of hosting platforms for digital learning) teachers bring in an average of $7,000 a year, with the highest earners breaking into the six figures.)
Building classes in house is the key. Online class development can be extremely costly when out sourced. Fortunately, recent advancements in technology has made it possible to achieve professional level results with modest equipment and economical software (specifically programs that come preinstalled on any Apple, the featured operating system for this seminar).
Creating an online course with live recorded video sounds like an ambitious endeavor but it’s a learnable process, one that I’ve simplified within a structured and approachable framework. Like any job training, some tasks will be entirely familiar and others will require guidance and perseverance.
My program, developed over years of online class production, breaks down this otherwise complex process into 5 Digital Class Development Steps: Lesson Planning, Filming, Editing, Hosting and Marketing. Each step is then further simplified into structured lessons that can be used to successfully build your own custom online video classes.
Participants will be taken through every computer keystroke, actively applying each lesson throughout the course. Included with the class is an extensive workbook that can be used as a framework for your own classes along with a complete online resource where key lesson videos from the workshop can be viewed at any time. Students are required to bring their own Apple laptop/computer so everything from the class will already be on their home operating system.
